There and Back Again

My name is Stephanie Abbott-Grobicki. I am 22 years old and have recently graduated from Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire. Travelling is not a new concept for me. My passports will tell you that I am British and South African. The reality is a little more complicated than that. I was born in London, moved to South Africa when I was 2, Poland when I was 6, back to South Africa when I was 7, Sri Lanka when I was 9, France when I was 10, Sweden (and then boarding school in Wales) when I was 16 and I promptly took off when I was able to a new country: the US. 

 

After four fantastic and terrifying years, I find myself - the type A, over achiever - without employment or academia to keep me busy. I wanted to take these few precious months to travel back in time and look into the future. I want to learn about my family history, reconnect with "where I am from", and hopefully go on some wonderful adventures.
